This Warranty (the warranty) covers all workmanship for a period of One (1) year from the completion date of the work performed. The Warranty covers workmanship only and does not cover defects that may result with Equipment, Materials or Supplies purchased from “Third Party” suppliers.
We Guarantee that all grading (earthwork) will meet or exceed the specifications as defined by the “City of Edmonton – Surface Lot Grading and Drainage” requirements, and specifically “BYLAW 16200 DRAINAGE BYLAW”. Prior to commencing “Final Grading” of a lot, a copy of the “Certification of As-Built Grades (Lot Grading Certificate)” must be provided. Should any remedial work be required in order to obtain “Final Grade Certification” as a result of work we have performed, we will do so at our own expense and at no additional cost to the Homeowner or Client.
Please note: “Final Grade Surveying” must be performed (by others) within Three (3) Months of the Landscaping work being completed by us.
We are unable to provide any Warranty or Guarantees with respect to “Future Settling of Native (backfill material) Soil Around the Perimeter of Foundation Walls”. As a result, we will not be held responsible or liable for any “Grading Deficiencies” that are directly associated with the “settling” of backfill materials. If requested we will correct any deficiencies, but any and all costs associated with correcting these deficiencies will be the direct responsibility of the Homeowner or Client.
Trees, Shrubs and Plants are covered in accordance with the specific terms and conditions of the “Nursery” or “Supplier” they are purchased from. The replacement value (if offered) is limited to the “Original Purchase Price” of the Tree, Shrub or Plant. The Warranty (if offered) does not cover Trees, Shrubs or Plants that perish as a result of lack of water or abuse. The Warranty (if offered) does not cover Trees, Shrubs or Plants that have been damaged as a direct result of rodents, insects or other airborne infections.
The Warranty (if offered) is limited to the replacement of the Tree, Shrub or Plant only. It does not cover the cost to remove & transport the dead Tree, Shrub or Plant to the original point of purchase, and it does not cover the cost to pick up, deliver and re-plant. These costs are the direct responsibility of the Homeowner or Client.
This Warranty does not cover the replacement of Sod that perishes (dies) as a direct result of lack of water or damage resulting from inadequate cutting or physical abuse howsoever caused.
Please Note: each Homeowner or Client (that we provide landscaping services for) will be provided with a FREE copy of our “Landscape Care & Maintenance Guide” after the landscaping has been completed. In this guide we offer many Tips and Suggestions. What you will need to KNOW, and what you will need to DO for the first few weeks after the Landscaping has been completed. We have also included many Tips & Suggestions to maintain a beautiful and healthy yard.
